Building relationships is one of the things that Savannah needs to teach Cole about his professional life. What I like about this series is the strong family relationship between the Rileys and the strong friendships between the female characters who fall in love with them. Any kind of personal relationship with Cole could wreck her plans. She had a miserable childhood and is determined to focus on building her career. Cole is determined to make the relationship as personal as he can-and still go his own way with the team and the press.Savannah has a hard task ahead of her which is complicated by her feeling for Cole. She takes a look at him and is immediately attracted but determined to keep the relationship professional. Louis Traders are his last chance.Savannah Brooks is the image consultant who has been hired by the team to remake his attitude and image. He has been let go by a number of NFL teams despite his talent and the St. His public image which he has burnished by saying the first thing in his head and by being totally uncooperative with the press. This one stars Cole Riley who is a talented football player but not a talented teammate or team player. PLAYING TO WIN was another hot sports romance in the Play-by-Play series by the talented Jaci Burton. There I've saved you a few hours of reading something not great. You won't be missing out on anything other than his sister's introduction into this series (she's a sports therapist and they are cousins to Mick and Gavin. Skip this one and move right onto the next (which I LOVED). His hotness doesn't compensate for his jerkness. He should know how to do that, naturally, on his own, without suggestion or cajoling into it by now. Her big solution, that, of course, magically works is for him to "make friends with his teammates".
I have no idea other than general hunkiness why Savannah the PR chick fell for him or put up with his crap. What he needed was a shrink-to come change his personality. This is his last shot, so his agent and team hire a PR person to come change his image. For no apparent reason and his teams think he's a big enough asshole that even though he's a good player, he's been traded a bunch.
